One of the oldest ethnic parades in NYC, Pulaski Day Parade is held annually on Fifth Avenue in Manhattan since 1937. The parade dedicated to Kazimierz Pulaski, a hero of the American Revolutionary War, is always held on the first Sunday of October.
Casimir Pulaski was a true son of the American Revolution. Although little known outside of Polish-American circles, Pulaski was not only one of the most distinguished cavalry heroes of the Revolution, he also stepped in during a battle to save the life of his Commander, General George Washington. Without Pulaski, there may have never been President Washington or the United States as we know it.
To celebrate the life of this extraordinary Polish-American hero we are offering a Sunday special for all parade goers and Pulaski enthusiasts!
