A Poetry Salon Celebrating Maria Pawlikowska-Jasnorzewska
We highly recommend attending a special Poetry Salon celebrating the timeless and exquisite lyricism of Maria Pawlikowska-Jasnorzewska (1891–1945), one of the 20th century’s most beloved Polish poets, widely known as the “Polish Sappho.”
Pawlikowska-Jasnorzewska’s work is celebrated for its delicate, sensual, and modern perspective. This event holds particular significance as the Senate of the Republic of Poland has officially designated 2025 as the Year of Maria Pawlikowska-Jasnorzewska, honoring her lasting literary legacy.
Event Highlights
This profound evening will focus entirely on her poetry and spirit:
Recitation: The poems will be masterfully brought to life by actress and producer Liliana Komorowska (from the acclaimed Salon Poezji series). (Recitations will be performed in the original Polish language)
Music: The performance will be enriched by the musical talents of Nicholas Kaponyas (Pianist) and Valeriya Sholokhowa (Cellist).
Hosting: The evening will be guided by Katarzyna Szrodt.
This elegant fusion of Polish literary artistry and dramatic performance is a must-see.
